Properties: colorless trigonal crystal, rhombus crystal or white fine crystalline powder. Easily soluble in water and liquid ammonia, soluble in ethyl alcohol and methyl alcohol, slightly soluble in glycerin and acetone.
Uses: in producing raw materials of potassium nitrate, mining explosives, picric acid and dyestuff. It can be used as defoamer, decolorising agent, clarifying agent and fluxing agent in glass industry.
